VETING ASSOC IANS AVIATION BASE, Pune, India — Veterinary Assistant (VAA) at Pune Veterinary Hospital (PVSH) and Senior Medical Associate (SMA) at Veterinary Medical College of India (VMCAI) are suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) due to the vaccine rotavirus (ROTV) and severe complications of which they have been admitted.
The VAA and SMA are from the same locality.
A statement issued by PVSH on Monday said that both are admitted to the hospital in stable condition and are being treated for serious injuries.
However, the PVSK spokesperson said that SMA and VAA were admitted to hospital on Tuesday and they are being shifted to PVSCH for further treatment.
“The reason for their admission is that both have been undergoing respiratory treatment with antibiotics and are in critical condition,” the statement added.
According to the PVMCA IANS, the reason for the hospitalisation of the VAA has been a respiratory condition of the SMA.
Both the VIA and the PVAI have said that the VTA has been treated with an antibiotic for two weeks.
As of now, PVSHA has not commented on the hospital admission of the two.
